The Jacksonville Jaguars have ruled wide receiver Cecil Shorts III out against the Jets on Sunday. Shorts suffered a concussion against the Bills in last week’s loss but passed his baseline concussion test on Wednesday. The receiver, still suffering from concussion symptoms, will be rested through the week to make sure that he is healthy whenever he takes the field. Head coach Mike Mularkey said, “Something that can be life altering, I do have concerns about that. With regard to playing, that’s second.”
Mularkey has his team’s back as regards injuries and keeping his playmakers safe is critical if the Jaguars hope to have any success.
Per John Oehser:

We’ll see how an already shaky receiving corps responds without its leader.
