Cecil Shorts III Passes Concussion Test, No Practice Yet

For those of you with Cecil Shorts III on your fantasy teams or those of you who simply love that the Jaguars finally have a legitimate receiver on their roster, it will be good to know that Mr. Shorts has indeed passed his concussion test after leaving last week’s game against the Buffalo Bills with a head injury.  The hit was vicious and rightly flagged for unnecessary roughness.

While passing a concussion test in no way ensures that Shorts will be playing in the next game, it is good news for a Jaguar team that is heavily reliant upon Shorts to move the ball through the air.  Shorts is having a great season (the best season by any Jaguar receiver in seven years) and it would be a shame to all of his hard work derailed by injury.

Shorts still has not been cleared to practice due to concussion symptoms, but passing the test is the first step to getting back on the field.  Hopefully we will be able to see him next week, but even if he misses the game against the Jets it will be worth it to ensure Shorts comes back healthy.
