I really don't think that Mincey believes he is on a team that stops the run. The numbers just don't back it up. The Jags have regressed in almost everything they used to have pride in. What shocks me most about some of the Jags' loss of identity is the absolute change from '07 to '08 in the passing attack under Dirk Koetter. We all knew he was brought in to go a bit more vertical and stretch the field with the pass - and the increased numbers by David Garrard support its success - but the efficiency just disappeared! That unravelling baffled me, and still does. It makes me not like Koetter, but he's finding success in Atlanta so what do I know? Very well stated!
