Jaguars Trade Mike Thomas To Lions

by Jaguars

The Jacksonville Jaguars have traded wide receiver Mike Thomas to the Detroit Lions for an undisclosed draft pick.

The Jags gave Thomas a three year extension worth $18 million last year after a breakout 2010 in which he had 820 yards on 66 receptions. He has been a dud since and only has 80 yards on 13 receptions thus far this season.  While used as a punt returner earlier this season he has been surpassed by RB Jalen Parmele and newly signed wide receiver Michael Spurlock.
