I dont care if we dont have the talent at wide receiver. Take the leash off and let Blaine play. Hes a top 10 pick. I dont care if he throws 5 interceptions per game. More than likely, even if the Jags play it safe and keep running MJD into the ground, we will still lose. Might as well let Blaine develop in the process. Look at Luck, that kid will be good one day.....look at Manning's rookie season......look at Troy Aikman's rookie year.....if you're too afraid to make mistakes, there is no progress. Trial and error, trial and error.....not to mention if Gabbert doesnt develop, neither does Blackmon. And who knows, maybe the Jags will get lucky and pull a few games out. It will make for exciting football nonetheless. It will also tag on some extra years to MJD if more pass attempts are made. I really do think Gabbert has the potential to be clutch. Does anyone remember last year when he hit Mike Thomas for a TD at the end of the first half in Carolina? Then there was week 1 against Minnesota (defense lost that one). And of course, this past week. LET THE KID PLAY! Theres nothing to lose lol

I certainly hope we don't end the season 6-10, but anything is possible. Unless the Jags force every single team they play this year to play their style of ball (an old school slug match) they could struggle down the stretch against teams who throw the ball like the Patriots and Lions. Maybe it's time to set Gabbert lose and see what we have in our young QB. This team HAS to evolve.

The NFL is a QB / passing oriented league. Teams that throw the ball win more often than teams that run the ball & try to run the clock. The more that MJD runs the ball, the fewer points we will see put on the scoreboard. In response to those that say MJD is all we have, why is MJD all we have? Where is the roster depth?Where are the playmakers? Where are the players with speed that are threats? With the exception of Branch, a rookie DE, where is the speed on defense that can contain outside of the box? Is this the slowest team in the NFL? Until somebody in the organization wakes up & makes some adjustments regarding the lack of personnel, this team will continue to be no better than 6-10 year after year.
