@JacobJones1 Sorry to be getting back to you so late. I have no problem admitting that the Texans are a good team. However, I find that Kubiak's success last season is more of an aberration than what is normal from his time as a head coach. A look at win-loss records shows this to be true. Looking at the team, it is clear to see that the success of the team correlates more with the quality of players - especially since the head coach has remained constant. I think that if their top players go down it is very difficult for the team to do well since Kubiak is not a coach that manages to get the most from all of his players (but rather from his high skill players).

I could be wrong and Kubiak could repeat, but I expect that Phillips' defense will be good and we will see a return back to normal for an 8-8 or 9-7 finish (who knows, those marks may be good enough to win the division!).

@JacobJones1 Sims mentioned in this article that the players are limited by their head coach because they rely too much on key players. Now while I believe you should give the ball to your best players in crunch time, you also should be aware that there are other athletes on the team. Tom Coughlin and Bill Belichick are getting the most from their roster by giving the ball to "no-names" or giving them a shot at the big play. Houston has only done this when injuries took place.

Foster - Tate
Schaub - Yates
Johnson - No WR exactly stepped it up

Sims then stated that Kubiak has a great offense with the defense being his downside. Houston's defense has not been this dominant since Wade Phillips took over with a great defensive draft to boot.

So, wait a minute... Your "analysis" is the Texans have everything it takes to get where they wanna go, but they won't, cause of their HC?.. Who, in your opinion "built a great offense," that "cannot be sustained," and his defensive prowess is minimal?.. Even though you think Wade Phillips is a great DC?..

And you think that's "analysis?".. lol..
