Justin Blackmon was arrested for a DUI on Sunday in Oklahoma. According to reports, he was booked in Stillwater, OK for an aggravated DUI – having a blood alcohol content of over .15 in Oklahoma. He was put in the Payne County Jail around ten in the morning.
Blackmon had a similar incident two years prior to his selection in the draft when he was arrested for a DUI in Texas. Two years separate this incident and the past one, so it is curious if the league will come down with action on the league’s number 5 selection from April’s draft.
This is not indicative of the high character players that General Manager Gene Smith has been trying to recruit to change the culture in Jacksonville. It will be more curious to see if head coach Mike Mularkey chooses to follow Oklahoma States’ Mike Gundy’s 2010 decision and suspend Blackmon for some games.
