The Titans have been the enigma of the AFC South for years. Some seasons they put it together and take the championship. Other seasons they falter and fall flat on their face as they try to compete. This past year they laid a pretty solid foundation for success in coming years.
Jake Locker is an important part of that foundation. Rather than preparing to play an experienced, Super Bowl level quarterback in Matt Hasselbeck, the Jaguars may have to focus on the upstart second year quarterback out of Washington, Jake Locker.
From reports, Locker and Hasselbeck have been splitting time under center about 50-50 for on field practices. This ramps up the quarterback battle that has been brewing since Locker’s selection last year and will influence how the team operates in the coming season.
Head Coach Mike Munchak wants to know who his starting quarterback is going to be by the third preseason game. Hopefully, the Jaguars will be able to key in on who will be passing a little bit sooner and start game planning ahead of time.
