Coming tomorrow, April 3rd, the new Nike uniforms for teams across the league will be revealed.
Odds are they will be some really wacky takes on some simple things that teams like the Steelers have always gone with (say goodbye to those matte black helmets perhaps?). Oh wait, I was thinking college football.
But seriously, this is the first time the NFL has changed its supplier for uniforms in a decade. Tomorrow marks the beginning of the five year stint that Nike will have with the NFL to supply them with dreamed up schemes.
As a few of you may be aware, there have been some “leaks” of the new uniforms across the internet for a while. You need only type in “Nike NFL uniforms” into Google to see what has been dreamed up. These are most assuredly fake. But hey, it’s nice to dream, right? Just imagine if teams like the Colts and the Titans could no longer criticize the Jags for their beautiful glitter helmets?
Ok, maybe they won’t be geting anything as awesome as our glitter helmets, but it could be pretty fun. I’m pretty stoked for any changes that may be coming. Making teams look even better than they currently do is easy for some franchises, but kind of difficult for teams like the Jags.
I don’t know about all of you, but I would love a return to the all black alternates. Those were pretty intimidating.
