Hey, remember that whole Tebow to Jacksonville thing? Yeah, it should be dead now.
For the second time in three years, Tim Tebow has had the opportunity to play for an NFL team. This time as a trade prospect from the Denver Broncos.
The uninformed national media immediately pegged the Jacksonville Jaguars as a leading suitor….yeah, again.
The team didn’t want the quarterback out of college, even when he would have sold tickets, and they didn’t want him again. Sure, Shahid Khan wanted Tebow if he had been available in the draft in 2010. But back then, Khan wasn’t the owner of the Jaguars. And back then the Jaguars didn’t have Blaine Gabbert on the roster.
Oh, and back then there were other solutions to the defensive end problem the Jags faced.
Sometimes I just want to scream at the national sports media.
Once again they have failed to see what is going on in Jacksonville.
I’m looking forward to this season, and I’m perfectly happy that it will be Blaine Gabbert taking the snaps from Brad Meester.
