Gene said he had one goal in mind, if I remember correctly, and that was to build a team that is a year-in, year-out perennial Super Bowl contender. From what I've seen thus far, I think we are inching closer and closer to becoming that. As you said, the structure has been built and now it's time to add the finishing touches. While I think we'll be able to compete for the playoffs during next season, I think the 2013 season will be the beginning of what Gene has envisioned all along. By then, Blaine should be completely settled in his starting role, the offensive line should be balanced enough to be good in pass protection and run blocking, Blaine should have his weapons and the defense should be stacked depth wise. No one on the outside has to agree, but it's a good time to be a Jaguar fan. I agree completely.
