This is a wonderful observation. 7 yards per pass attempt, coupled with MJD's 4.8 yards per carry would be the definition of balanced football. That's a guranteed first down, so if you could limit the turnovers, you could win one of the most important aspects of the game; time of possession. One thing that would have to happen for it to be really successful though, is something Blaine harped on all season last year. You're going to have to leave the redzone with TD's instead of FG's. Our defense was one of the best at limiting teams to 3 and outs last year and if they could maintain that next year and we can find the type of balanced offense, that's suggested we could have here, I don't see how we couldn't be successful. The only way we could lose with that style of play, is if we beat ourselves with things such as turnovers, penalties and allowing big plays. Limit those things and we'll be in position to do some big things going forward.
