That's what training camp and the preseason is for, competition. If Blaine outplays David, then he should win the job. I understand that once you start Gabbert, Garrard should be done in Jacksonville, because there's no going back. I see it this way, it Gabbert outplays Garrard, with Garrard being in the same system for the past four or five years, then he doesn't deserve to be the starter of this team. The only way I see David still being starter with Blaine outplaying him, is if the coaching staff wants to make sure the offensive line is ready to protect the 'future of the franchise'. That wouldn't be the best idea, because it's disrespectful to David. Like I said though, let the best person play. I say let the best person start.
