Zoltan - I think you need some NFL back in your life, in a bad way! I have to disagree that Jacksonville has to have a "big name" defensive FA acquisition. As we all know, a big name does not necessarily mean big performance and it's typically the middle-tier free agents that make the biggest impact. It sounds like your argument is that we need a "name" to appease the fans. First of all, people who are going to buy tickets this year are going to buy tickets and people who aren't, won't. Aaron Kampman's signing last year didn't create a huge ticket splash and to be honest, I just don't see a lot of people reading the newspaper and saying, "We signed a $25 million Free Safety! I'll call up the ticket office right now!"

The fans won't be soured by not signing a big-name guy. They'll be soured by another mediocre season. The Jags have to start winning soon - I think whether it's with the who's who of the NFL or with a squad of 55 Chris Prosinski's, winning is all that matters at this point. It's up to the FO and the Coaches to find the players that will make that happen.
