		<description>Luke, nice article and I think you&#039;re right about a lot of points here. I think we&#039;re better off at corner than we realize and that our still-developing pass rush (which has been a multi-year project, set back by the Harvey/Groves tandem falling flat) was not effective enough last year to let the secondary showcase whatever talent might be back there. Mathis isn&#039;t the elite cover man or ballhawk he used to be in his prime, but he&#039;s still pretty darn good and can cover most guys in the league. I think Derek Cox is plenty capable and should level out as a solid, though not likely elite, #2. Middleton was serviceable last year and Rod Issac may represent some upside. Courtney Green is honing his instincts and I believe is capable of an &#039;07 Sammy Knight level of consistency - which is ample upside for that position in this defense. 

If the pass rush comes along, our coverage will play/look tighter and with a FS capable of making plays and capitalizing on QB&#039;s mistakes, we could be closer than we think.</description>
