Prowling the Web: Your Daily Jaguars Links

  • NFL.com interview (video and transcript) with my main dude, Marcedes Lewis. He talks about MMA, the Garrard/Gabbert situation, and finishing games. Solid piece.
  • Paul Kuharsky’s latest installment in his AFC South blog, “One Honest Answer”, where he ponders the one question he could ask people connected to the Jaguars if he was guaranteed a 100% truthful answer. I can think of about 100 questions that I would like the no BS/press-speak answer to. What would you ask?
  • David Garrard is the answer for the Jaguars, writes Eli Nachmany of BleacherReport.com. While I agree with his analysis that Garrard is certainly the answer next year, some of the Gabbert assumptions are a little too finite, since we don’t yet know what he’ll be capable of.

I’ve been thinking this for about 3 years:

Jack Del Rio has been really learning on the fly with his coaching, but we are now seeing him hit his stride. I think he is really putting it all together.

I’m a fan and I hope he can stay for a few more years, at least. it could be great

or vice versa. but i tend to agree with myself here.

I’ve put this in a previous comment about the one question I would love to have answered in “One Honest Answer” and I’ll state it again. How does Gabbert really feel about being a Jaguar? Even though it’ll never get answered, at least he isn’t a Bengal having to go and deal with that locker room. I could only imagine!

There was a comment about Sims-Walker trying to brown nose his way back on the team in Tania’s blog and thought that was ridiculous. With Gene making the personnel decisions, how would giving Del Rio a comment gain him any favor. He also stated that he would like to go play of the Dolphins, which makes the comment even more asinine.

And lastly, that article about Garrard being the answer is absurd. Of course David is the better PRO quarterback at the moment. He is constantly stating all of the these things Blaine won’t be able to do as if he won’t be able to learn how to. It’s articles like that, that make me wonder how some of these writers even got their jobs. I thought it was their job to give fair assessments instead of make judgements on things that they don’t really know.
