As much as I love Rashean Mathis, the only way he's sticking around is if we don't get a corner in the first round. And the only two reasons we wouldn't take a corner in the first round are these: 1) There is an unbelievably good safety that is going to fall into our laps, or 2) One of the offensive linemen that fit the "Planet Theory" (300 lbs+ and 6'6"+) is available to replace one of our aging veterans. As great as it would be to get a great QB of the future in the first round, I just don't think it is worth the risk. I don't want an Alex Smith. We still need youth in the interior of the o-line and Kampman's successor, who could possibly end up being Ryan Kerrigan from Purdue.
