I don't think the optimistic scenario really works. We're just not going to have a Top 10 defense. If we're middle of the pack, I'm happy. The secondary is too porous in a pass happy league.

I think the optimistic scenario is that our offense becomes explosive, and the defense does just enough to keep it close.

I believe Garrard is a pretty decent quarterback, not the best obviously but good enough to start for about half the teams in the league.

It only takes a few weapons to really start showing up. If Tiquan starts stretching the field, and Zach Miller stays healthy and becomes a threat, or Rashad Jennings provides the 2 to MJD's 1 punch. And Mike Walker actually mans up and doesn't disappear. This team could be VERY exciting to watch.

And honestly I could care less about the record this year, I want them to win. But as long as the product is entertaining, that will be fun for the average fan and hopefully keep them as season ticket holders next year. The worst case scenario means we could lose the team. That would tear my heart apart(even up here in Atlanta).

So the scenario I would love to see play out is the Jaguars become the favorite of Jacksonville residents everywhere and the Jaguars stay. 4-12 or 12-4 either way works for me. I want to be a JACKSONVILLE Jaguars fan for the rest of my life.

I think that the Jaguars go somewhere between 7-9 and 10-6. I think that what determines this is simply the "luck" and the "consistancy." If the Jaguars win a couple nailbiters than they could go 10-6 easily, but if they lose those games 7-9 is a possiblity.
The main point I wanted to make is that I think that Garrard, barring a disasterous season this year stays on the team next year as long as the Jaguars offense does as well or better than last year. I think that a developmental QB will be drafted in round one no matter what, because the class is so deep and in the second round as well. SO in other words, we could end up with Case Keenum and Ryan Mallet. In this case the Jaguars keep three QBs, and this would probably be the ONLY scenario garrard leaves.
Lets be honest, if garrard throws less than 10 INTS and more than 17TDs his place on the team is safe for One more year. Then i think hes gone along with Del Rio
