Point 1.

The defensive line vs. the Eagles offensive line. The unit of Joe Cullen can show what they learned from the new D-line coach (and Aaron Kampman); because although the Eagles have a really strong team, their Nr. ONE weak point is their offensive line. Starting center Jamaal Jackson tore his ACL in late December; and his replacement Nick Cole has struggled last year at that position. LT Jason Peters has 2 things: a big 60 million dollar paycheck and a “very overrated” fame. At right guards Stacy Andrews is everything but stable; and the Jaguars must use that. As for the other two positions, Todd Herremans and Winston Justice are solid at left guard and right tackle but we all know how a line can function when 2 or 3 players are vulnerable… And not to mention they will protect a QB who will be playing on his first game as the Eagles Nr. 1 signal caller…

I’m am soooo excited for the start of football, even if it’s a preseason game. It’s going to be very interesting to see how certian players perform and how certain units (O-line, d-line etc.) perform. However, I doubt the starters will be in for long, so it might just a chance to see our backups and potential backups in action.

I really hope Tyson gets to play, that is what I would like to see the most. It is easy to see after the Oklahoma drill between him and Vinny that he will be able to handle most NFL guards already. That’s saying alot, considering Vince is a vet and Tyson has so much room to grow. Even if it is for only two series, I hope he makes it on the field.

According to Del Rio Tyson and the two starting OTs will probably sit out on friday. Personally, I’m okay with that. I think for this game( and most of the preseason ) we need to develop our line depth as much as possible. It’s imperative that the depth of the lines have a chance to work itself out before denver. When healthy, the offensive and defensive fronts have a lot of potential, but beyond the predicted starters I’m concerned with the level of production from our boys!
