Jaguars game simulation practice begins

The Jaguars use this game to not only entertain the fans but also to give the rookies a chance to experience game day. It also serves to pump up the adrenalin and see who performs under pressure.  I have been going for four years and it gets bigger and more elaborate every year. It is fun.  Entrance to the MPS Suites included a wonderful buffet and all the alcohol you wanted for $50 per person.  I couldn’t resist so Sandra and I went on a “date” night.

After the jump, you will see what I saw.

It was a fun night to come out and enjoy the warm night

I know, out with my wife and this is what I notice. Oh well, can I have your attention back? Let’s talk football.

I don’t know how much to read into the performances. I will tell you if I had to give MVP’s it would be to Derrick Harvey and Aaron Kampman. They definitely pushed the pocket and disrupted the quarterback a number of times. Here is a sequence when Aaron Kampman gets to David. He is coming in from the right side and is defended by Eugene Monroe.

Derrick Harvey was against Jordan Black. Jordan did better than Eben Britton had been doing but Derrick Harvey is just on a mission this year. He looks like a man possessed. Here he is getting in David’s face just before the throw.

Did you notice all of the broken seats on the east side of the stadium? Can you shed any light on that?

      I didn’t notice them. Sorry.

We were there – some improvement – but will have to agree David was not in control – McGowan was worse. Fun time at the stadium – just being there makes us want more. Fans were great – what was the attendance? Seate across the stadium looked like the melted in the HOT sun.
See you at the Dolphin game – can’t wait

Terry, great pictures but one question… When the line gave David all that time to throw, do you remember did he complete the pass the majority of the time?

    • http://www.blackandteal.com tkopa

David did complete a lot of throws and yes when he had time that heppened. I think the thing that I wondered about was how much time it took to find the open man. The decision to pull the trigger took forever.

What I hoped to see was a quick strike offense. We need that to prevent the line from breaking down.

Thanks for the question. We will learn about this together.

Heard the attendance was about 12,500 – GREAT !!!! Thanks to the Jag organization for making it a “special event” for season ticket holders. To Tony Boselli and the “Teal Team” helping to make it happen. Can’t wait for Tuesday Aug 17th and the “Teal Team” members special “training camp”.

Okay fan’s let’s get together & push for those last few ticket sales – Let’s fill the “BANK” with a big “deposit” of TEAL and show the NFL and the negative media what the Jaguars and Jacksonville fans are all about.

    GO JAGUARS!!!!!

Can you shed any light on the fate of that god awful cannon? I braced myself for it every time the offense was anywhere close to the goal line…and I’m only 25. That thing is going to give some old person a heart attack.
