Jacksonville Jaguars D-Line coach Joe Cullen makes me laugh

I can’t help but laugh when I see or read about Joe Cullen. This guy is cut from a different cloth and if he stays away from alcohol, he is a hoot to have around. We are beginning to see other people reference Joe as an influence. Luke Richesson referenced his enthusiasm. Derrick Harvey, out of the blue in an interview says “I’ve got a great coach”. Never said that about Ted Monachino. Joe reportedly got so fired up in a meeting he was sweating by the time he was done.

When I watch training camp and OTA’s, I see Joe Cullen workout routines. Guys spinning and hacking the air and looking like dancing bears. On Saturday, I watched Joe bring out the giant loops for running around corner training . After the jump, see for yourself. The guy has a mllion of these routines.

Time for Defensive Line loop drill

Here goes Harvey, looks like he is taking to this

D'Anthony Smith doesn't have the same lean

DAnthony Smith doesn't have the same lean. Joe needs to work with him

Kampman knows this drill and has it mastered

I would bet Knighton hates this drill - maybe not

Every practice these guys live being on the line. The minute they show up for work until they go home, all they hear is Joe Cullen. I would bet they hear him in their sleep.  I can’t wait until this group shows up on opening day.  Denver has O-Line problems. Tyson Alualu, the big holdout, deserves a bigger does of Joe Cullen.

Go get them Joe! I am going to laugh at every sack and nod to your off beat methods. Genius isn’t hard to recognize.
