Jeff Fisher got screwed – and he didn’t deserve it

I received this email from Zoltan and at first  I laughed and agreed.

Oh Lane Kiffin you do a huge favor. You went to USC instead of Jack; now you took the Titans RB coach- perfect!)

He(Kennedy Pola) will be Lane Kiffin’s OC. So his dream has come true. The Titans are in a deep hole; I’m 200% sure they want now Byner back. But he is working us! (I must resist very hard to take any – Is working with Chris Johnson really that horrible?” joke). Oh; Terry this is a very; very good news for us. Do you remember such a move that a coach went to another team 1 week before the training camp started?

Maybe this should worth a small article.

Now don’t get me wrong, the troubles within the Titans camp give me reason to smile. It happens everywhere to everyone and the cancer infecting an AFC South rival does not give me reason for pity. Show up on Sunday or Monday Night and bring your best. We want the victory.

But I will say this, Jeff Fisher got screed for no reason and doesn’t deserve it. I don’t know why Kennedy Pola took a lateral move to the Titans. I believe the purging of the “Jack guys” had begun and he was in the cross-fire.

Jeff Fisher coveted Kennedy Pola and fired Ernest Byner to make room for him. That is no small move and a huge show of faith in the man.  You could argue it was cold, but Kennedy Pola was received warmly. Now I understand Kennedy Pola got the opportunity of a lifetime at USC and I say go Kennedy, seek your destiny. But I can not deny Jeff Fisher got screwed for extending himself to someone he had faith in.  I don’t mind beating the Titans, but I respect Jeff Fisher.   He did nothing wrong and is righteous in his anger. Jeff Fisher deserves better, but didn’t receive it. Let us not rejoice too much in this, betrayal is the worst sin and we don’t want it infecting our camp.

I disagree on this one. Jeff Fisher had a back who produced a 2000+ yard season- in fact the only really effective weapon of that team most of the time. Elsewhere the RB coach would be a hero; Fisher decided to fire him. (Seriously; if the Jags and Jack would made that switch; I would be mad at JAck in the 1st place; and just after that to Kiffin and Kennedy. I 100%ly understand why many of the Titans fans are furious right now about this….)

Someone explain me why did he made that change? It makes no sense. This latest move backed my thought; if the season not start well for the Titans; then they will collapse once again.

I go even further. IF that happens. I believe this time; it will cause major quakes(new Head coach; new QB; maybe they will lose Chris Johnson; if we see how greedy that guy is). I think Jeff Fisher is sitting joined Jack Del Rio being on the hot seat at the AFC South. I’m telling you; if the season goes bad; there will be a new head coach in Nashville in 2011.

I see your point completely. I do not understand why Byner was let go and Kennedy Pola wa looking for work. I don’t get that at all.

Bt once Jeff Fisher took moves to clear a spot for Kennedy and now has nothing to show for it leaves him in a difficult position. One he didn’t cause, it happened to him.
