Jags Muzzle Vick But Fall To Eagles

Jaguar’s fans have to be feeling pretty conflicted after the third preseason game.

While the first team has played well in all three games, they have all ended in losses. I would prefer to be optimistic based on the Jags performance so far. Let’s go through the positives:

– Garrard looks better, not great, but better
– Receivers are stepping up (Williamson, Dillard and Hughes will all makes this team)
– Defense has looked consistently strong (there were 0 starting linebackers in last night and we still controlled the Eagles)
– Scobee can still hit the long field goals and both punters look better than last year

I will confess that as much as I felt that the Jags looked improved last night, the Eagles seemed to have taken a giant step back. They had no rhythm on offense at all. Now whether or not that is to completely blame on Vick coming in and out of the game I cannot say. But one thing is for sure, they need Westbrook back. His presence on the field changes what their offense can do. The man is weapon out of the backfield.

Check back later today as I will be posting the best Jaguars related links of the day.
