Mike Peterson Signs With Falcons, Gerald Sensabaugh Signs With Cowboys

Ex-Jaguars have been having a rough run through the first week of free agency but two have finally secured contracts with other teams.

Former starting MLB Mike Peterson, who so famously had his mid season spat with Coach Del Rio, has rejoined former Jaguars’ Defensive Coordinator Mike Smith in Atlanta.  After losing both Keith Brooking and Michael Boley in free agency, Atlanta needed to sure up their Linebacker core and Peterson should be serviceable for the next few seasons.

Gerald Sensabaugh has just signed with the Dallas Cowboys as a replacement to the recently released SS Roy Williams.  Sensabaugh was the one player I was hoping that the Jaguars would resign this offseason and I am slightly perplexed as to why they didn’t try to.  The reports are that he has only signed a one year contract so I imagine it can’t be for too much.  So instead of a having a decent young SS we have another hole to fill.

Yea, Sensabaugh was getting better and better, but he just couldn’t stay out of trouble in his hometown. Considine will have a chance to start now and I think he could be the answer there.
