Jaguars Free Agency Moves | The First 48 Hours

The Jaguars have been relatively quiet in Free Agency so far but they have made one big cut: DE Paul Spicer.  Spicer has been with the Jaguars since 2000 and has been a team captain but with the addition of Derrick Harvey and Quentin Groves last year, he became expendable.

The Jaguars did some resigning as well, getting C Brad Meester and DB Scott Starks back under contract and giving LB Brian Iwuh a contract extension.  Nothing too surprising here, we’ve already got to fill LT so resigning Meester gives us some stability on the offensive line, Starks has shown promise even though he was hurt last year and Iwuh is a great special teams player.

The only new player that has been signed so far is Eagles S Sean Considine who looks to be an addition to special teams and add depth to the defensive back field.  He is very low risk at a 2 year, $3 million contract so we will see if he can prove himself.

Stay tuned to Black and Teal for all of your Jaguars’ Free Agency Updates.
