Being a Lions fan (I know, bring it on, let me hear it), I am telling you for a fact that the Lions are not drafting Stafford at #1 but they are making people think they are. Detroit has more holes than a slice of swiss cheese. Everyone knows that. Why draft a QB who would be the 4th or 5th QB taked if Tebow, Bradford and McCoy all came out this year? We need to build this team from the inside out. Start at the O-Line and D-Line and work out. Depending on what they do in FA will dictate what they will do in the draft. BTW, if they can’t get the #1 pick signed before the draft, I have a feeling that the pick will be traded, just a hunch. If they are stuck with the pick, it will be OT Smith or LB Curry.
February 26th, 2009 at 2:46 pmDrafting for need = Fail.
Try again.
February 26th, 2009 at 10:52 pmSorry but Jason Smith is a premier OT. Who else would you take in his place?
February 27th, 2009 at 7:52 pmI am also a Lions fan. Since 1967. I am hoping that Detroit returns to a defensive mindset and uses the first two picks for Curry and Jerry.
February 28th, 2009 at 12:32 pmAll this garbage about the Lions needing a “face for the organization” is laughable. What the Lions need is a competitive team. As long as they have one of the worst defensive units of all time, Peyton Manning could not make this group competitive.
Beleive it or not, the offence is not that bad.
Macline, Harvin, Pat White.
March 2nd, 2009 at 2:55 pmMaclin, Harvin, Pat White. I would also trade down if I could. I don’t believe any of the LTs coming out are worthy of 8.
