Good Thing We Still Have Matt Jones

Reggie Williams is undergoing arthroscopic surgery to fix damaged cartilage in the right knee. Just like Jerry Porter, he is expected to miss at least all of preseason.

Also, first round draft pick Derrick Harvey is still without a contract.

“He’s falling behind, there’s no question,” Del Rio said. “It’s unfortunate he’s not here. There were some deals in front of us that were outrageous in my opinion. [That] makes it difficult to have him here. We have a belief in where we’re gonna go and we still have a belief on where it’s gonna go, and right now we’re not in agreement. At some point, you lose so much that you don’t become as valuable. We’re not there yet, but it’s time to get into camp.”

In somewhat Jaguar related news, Byron Leftwich has signed with the Titans. With Quinn Gray on the Colts (after being cut from the Texans), it is obviously that old Jaguar quarterbacks like to keep it in the AFC South family.
