Paul Spicer Signed To An Extension!

Posted by: Jeanne

Defensive end Paul Spicer signed a contract extension today. The details of the contract are undisclosed.

At 32, Spicer is a 10 year veteran. He’s played 99 games in Jacksonville (53 of which he has started). He is fourth in team history with 25 sacks.

In theory, Spicer will be a good mentor to the rookies Quintin Groves and Derrick Harvey. He was one of the team captains for the Jaguars last year. Colts fans will remember him as “that dumb guy who got pissed about the refs last year“. Jaguar fans will know him as “that guy who spoke out about the injustices experienced by the Jaguar players last year.”

You’ve got a great site here. Keep up the Dallas bashing, and good luck with your new smarmy jerk of a coordinator (it’s fun for a while, but you’ll get tired of him).

I am excited to see what he does. Our defense was so-so compared to what they had done in previous years with the same players. That fact was just hidden because we were still winning games with our offense instead.
