It’s deffinitly been great watching Fred over the years. I remember as a football fan for a long time in Jacksonville with Fred being the only bright spot on our roster. It will be interesting to see how he fits in this year. From what I hear, Greg Jones is looking fully recovered and MJD obviously looks ready to take over. Let’s see if he can hold off the young guys another year.

David Garrard is one hell of a person by the way. Anybody that can play at the level that he does, fighting everyday with the disease that we have is only truly understandable to the few of us(including myself) that have to deal with it on a daily basis. You know what I am talking about Jeanne and if you decide to put it in a post, take my advice. Don’t make it like the one on Jason Witten.

Maurice also allows Fred to not be run like a work horse. I suspect that helps him a lot since we are a run happy team.

I read an article some where that talked about how Fred was ruffled by Maurice at first but Maurice came up to him and was like “I want to learn from you” and that made everything better.

Good post. I think Fred has also added unknown and invaluable value to MJD by mentoring him in his young NFL career.
